An Act of Piracy opera show is set in the 1790s. Britian has just invaded Trinidad. Our story is of adventure, love and betrayal.
Our first audiences loved it. They caught the carnival spirit, and they came dressed as pirates…

An Act of Piracy is produced by Coleridge Cymru. It features leading Trinidadian artist Mary-Anne Roberts and the Welsh singer Richard Parry. The calypso/classical opera explores links between Wales and Trinidad, and what that means for us today.
