Richard Parry returns to theatre this summer with two classical song shows: An Act of Piracy and Maud.
You can catch the Act of Piracy show at Penarth Pier Pavilion, South Wales on Wednesday 25th May at 3.00pm. Using classic British sea songs, the show tells the story of a young lad carried away to sea by pirates – a classical music adventure of kidnap, lost love and pirate gold. Baritone Richard is an award winning performer and this show was first performed at the Buxton Festival fringe and has appeared at international music festivals.

The classical music theatre show Maud presents Tennyson’s great 19th century poem of forbidden love, turmoil and the search for community and justice, with songs by Somervell. It is one of the great song cycles in English music but the work has been lost for a generation. Richard presents the poem and songs in a fresh and compelling dramatic performance at the Llantwit Major Literary Festival on Saturday 11th June at 12.30 pm
